Follow tickers and themes. NewsSignal pulls live coverage, collapses the 15 copies of the same story into one, and scores how sharply the tone has shifted against its own baseline — with the entire scoring method published below. News intelligence, not financial advice.
1) Coverage is fetched live from Google News and Yahoo Finance RSS for whatever you follow. 2) Near-duplicate headlines cluster together — the duplicate count itself is signal (coverage volume). 3) Each headline is scored by a published finance lexicon (~75 positive/negative terms — simple, transparent, auditable; deliberately not a black-box model). 4) Shift = mean sentiment of the newest third of coverage minus the oldest third. A big shift means the tone changed; it does not mean the price will follow. Flat shift is information too: no new catalyst in coverage.
What we never do: tell you to buy or sell, hide the scoring rules, or dress correlation up as prediction. Knowing that coverage is shifting is one input among many — but it's one most traders are flying blind on.
